2016 Bluegrass Festival BBQ Sales to benefit IFFS

Support Inter-Faith Food Shuttle with a lunch of tasty whole-hog BBQ on October 1st at the International Bluegrass Music Association’s (IBMA) Wide Open Bluegrass StreetFest in Downtown Raleigh.

The Bluegrass festival will host the North Carolina Pork Council’s Whole Hog Barbecue Championship a hog-to-hog competition to determine N.C.’s pork BBQ cooking champion.



After the cooked barbecue is judged, the extra pork produced by the competitors will be chopped and sold in sandwiches, with with ALL proceeds benefiting IFFS hunger-fighting services across the Triangle.

IFFS will be serving BBQ sandwiches from 11 a.m. until sold out on Cabarrus St., on the north side of the Convention Center and IFFS FOOD TRUCK near East Lenoir Street.

Water $1.00
BBQ Quarts $10.00

Volunteers are needed throughout the day to prepare and sell the BBQ sandwiches. If you are interested in helping out, contact Dalia Place ( or 919-390-1968) to sign up for a shift.
