Harvesting Your Fall Garden Workshop

  • Geer St. Learning Garden 110 East Geer Street Durham, NC, 27701 United States (map)

Geer Street Learning Garden is hosting a four-part Introduction to Fall and Winter Gardening workshop series. In our first two workshops, we covered how to design and plant your fall garden. In this workshop, "Harvesting Your Fall Garden," you will learn how to harvest your bounty!

We'll discuss how to properly harvest and store your crops for a healthy and productive season. The workshop will include an in-garden tour of what’s in season, information about determining crop maturity, demonstration of tools and how to harvest common fall crops, and a review of how to properly store crops in a food-safe way. While the workshops build on each other, you do not need to have attended any previous classes to register for others.
