Geer Street Learning Garden is hosting a four-part Introduction to Fall and Winter Gardening workshop series. In our first workshop, "Planning Your Fall Garden," participants learned how to design their Fall garden.

In this workshop, we will teach you how to successfully plant a Fall garden in Central NC! We'll cover how to transition your growing space from Summer to Fall, soil prep, planting techniques (i.e. direct sowing vs. transplanting), and crop maintenance basics. We’ll also review and apply concepts discussed in the Planning workshop including selecting Fall season crops, plant spacing, and crop rotation. While the workshops build on each other, you do not need to attend any previous classes to register for others.

Parking: Parking is available across the street on the lawn next to Bull City Cool/Farmer FoodShare. There is also free street parking on adjacent Mangum and Roxboro Streets.
