Geer Street Learning Garden is hosting a Small Spaces and Container Gardening workshop. You'll learn how to create, plant, and maintain your own container garden at home!
We'll cover how to select and prepare appropriate containers, choose the best soil for your needs, and pick what plants are best to grow in small spaces.
Date: Tuesday, September 24th, 5:00PM-7:00PM
Location: 110 E. Geer St, Durham, NC - Geer Street Learning Garden.
Parking: See attached parking map. Parking is available across the street on the lawn next to Bull City Cool/Farmer Foodshare or there is free street parking on adjacent Mangum and Roxboro Streets.
Things to bring and wear: Snacks and water bottles, bug spray, sunscreen, hats, pens/pencils, notepads. We'll be outside, so dress appropriately for the weather and with comfortable closed-toe shoes. Mosquitos are common; sleeves and bug spray help. Masks are not required, but please wear your mask if you feel more comfortable doing so. Masks available upon request.
Allergies, please note: Bees and fire ants are present in the garden. Participants with allergies should bring appropriate medication and alert staff members of your allergy.
**Rain date: Thursday, September 26th, 5:00 – 7:00PM . You will receive notice via email.**
