On Thursday, March 20, Inter-Faith Food Shuttle celebrated 35 remarkable years of success while officially launching our President’s Fund to Advance Innovation. Hosted at the City of Raleigh Museum, this gathering was more than just an event—it was a powerful movement brought to life. The room resonated with energy as community members, partners, donors, and team members united around a shared vision: Innovation rooted in community is the path to lasting change.
Our Culinary Apprenticeship students, under the leadership of Chef Ben Battle, served more than just exceptional dishes—they delivered confidence, excellence, and pride. The heartfelt story shared by our Chief Development Officer, Kimberly Burrows, captivated the audience, filling the room with hope and purpose. Our CEO, Ron Pringle, further inspired with insights into our approach and strategic plan, as we strive toward our vision of a hunger-free community.
In launching the President’s Fund for Innovation, we honor the extraordinary generosity of the Mead Family Foundation and Chiesi USA, whose $1.2 million investment has been instrumental in bringing this fund to life. Their unwavering belief in our mission and bold investment are already driving impact, while inspiring others to join this transformative journey. In a world often governed by fear, we choose a different path.
At Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, we don’t lead with fear. We lead with innovation.
We believe in a shared future where every person, in every neighborhood, has access to nourishment, opportunity, and dignity. As we transition from addressing food insecurity to ensuring nutrition security, we invite you to continue being part of this bold vision.
This is just the beginning. We’re not waiting for change—we’re creating it. Together, we will nourish futures, strengthen communities, and pioneer innovation to build a world free from hunger.
