FUND DRIVE
Set up a Virtual Food Drive
Maximize your impact by hosting a Virtual Food Drive! Instead of buying canned and non-perishable items at the store, leverage the Food Shuttle’s bulk purchasing power by donating online.
We can create a unique donation page for your workplace, community, church, or organization, making it easy to share on social media and via email. To get started, email us at fooddrives@foodshuttle.org, and we’ll set it up for you—it’s that easy!

Food System Donations
The Food Shuttle is committed to recovering and distributing nutritious food to the communities we serve. With the generous support of our community, we work across the food system to source and distribute food to our neighbors.
We gladly accept food donations from local retailers, farms, food manufacturers, and other businesses, including safe and nutritious items that may be deemed unsellable but are still fit for consumption.
FOOD DRIVES IN ACTION
Don’t just take our word for it…
Sheryl Kirkey, a 4th-grade teacher at Glenwood Elementary in Chapel Hill, led her students in a successful food drive for the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, inspiring them to embrace kindness and community service. Hear from Sheryl below!
Although the students couldn’t volunteer directly, they set a goal to collect 1,000 cans in two weeks—eventually gathering 3,890 items, three times their target. This effort not only provided essential food for our neighbors but also taught the students the importance of giving back.

“This experience will not be forgotten, and it is my hope that the students will continue to search out ways that they can help in the community.”
