Serving Opportunity This Holiday Season

At Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, we know that what’s on the menu matters. For too many of our North Carolina neighbors, their daily menu isn’t about choice—it’s about scarcity. Empty shelves. Empty refrigerators. Empty plates.

Right now, more than 1.4 million people in North Carolina rely on SNAP to feed their families. And while short-term solutions may be on the horizon, uncertainty remains. Families are afraid not just of what’s missing from their plates today, but of what tomorrow might bring.

At the Food Shuttle, we believe no one should face that fear alone. We meet people where they are—providing access to fresh, healthy food today while helping neighbors build the skills and confidence to create long-term stability.

That’s why we’re launching our $650,000 End of Year Campaign. When we serve opportunity, we serve more than food. We open the door for neighbors to learn workforce development skills, cook healthier meals at home, grow their own food, and take steps toward self-sufficiency. Because it’s more than filling plates—it means building stronger, healthier communities.

Thanks to our generous partners at the Oak Foundation, every gift will be matched up to $85,000 now through December 31. That means every dollar goes twice as far—doubling the opportunity to serve our neighbors when they need it most.

This holiday season, join us in keeping opportunity on the menu. Stay tuned on social media to see what’s on the menu for our neighbors this holiday season—because everyone deserves dignity, choice, and respect that goes beyond food.
