Growing Stronger Communities Returns in 2026

After an inspiring inaugural year, Inter-Faith Food Shuttle is excited to announce the return of the Growing Stronger Communities Agriculture Conference, happening November 4–6, 2026, at The Westin Raleigh-Durham Airport in Raleigh, North Carolina.

This year’s theme, From Programs to Power: Building Nutrition Security Through Local Food Systems, focuses on turning ideas into action. Together, we will explore how local food systems can strengthen community health, expand economic opportunity, and create long-term nutrition security for neighbors across the country.

In 2025, the conference brought together a nationwide community of food banks, farmers, healthcare leaders, advocates, and community organizations to discuss scalable agriculture models, Food Is Medicine innovations, land access challenges, culturally rooted food traditions, and trust-based partnerships that strengthen communities. One thing became clear: agriculture is not a side initiative in hunger relief. It is essential infrastructure for resilient communities.

This year, we are building on that momentum by moving from conversation to implementation. Attendees can expect practical tools, real-world strategies, templates, and collaborative learning opportunities designed to help organizations immediately apply what they learn in their own communities. Whether you are launching a garden, expanding farm operations, building farmer procurement pipelines, or advancing neighbor-led growing initiatives, this conference is designed to help turn vision into measurable progress.
