A message from Jill Staton Bullard
Excited? You betcha! We ended 2014 on such a high note...but 2014 doesn’t have a thing on what 2015 will be!
Last weekend's Taste of Hope fundraiser was fabulous and this week is even better because we welcome our new Executive Director, Dave Koch. Bringing in this strong partner to run the business end of things is a great gift to me, to our staff, to our volunteers, and to this community. I love it because it allows me to do what I have longed to do: build advocates for real system change, create collaborative partnerships that will drive those changes, and bring new partners to shared tables for deep and hard conversations on the real causes for hunger. What a challenge, what an opportunity! I can’t wait - this is going to be one exciting year! -Jill

Dave Koch Named Executive Director
Inter-Faith Food Shuttle is pleased to announce Dave Koch in the position of Executive Director. Koch joins the organization following a board announcement in November 2014 that CEO and Co-founder Jill Staton Bullard will transition into a more external role focused on community development, long-range system change, advocacy, and strategic fund development.
As Executive Director, Koch assumes full responsibility for daily operations including management of staff, programs, finances, and development. Koch comes to IFFS with 25 years of senior level experience in financial and human resources management in both for-profit and nonprofit organizations.
“We know we have found someone who will bring strong operational, financial, and business acumen, as well as the community focus and a passion for what we do,” said Becky Jacobs, 2014 Board Chair. READ MORE |

Welcome Back Kay!
"I am so happy to return as Farm Manager to the IFFS Teaching Farm! I have missed all the wonderful volunteers, the incubator farmers, the beautiful crops growing in the fields, my sweet ladies laying their beautiful eggs, and of course our funny goats!
I have always believed that the Teaching Farm provides a beautiful place where people can learn how food is grown, how to grow their own food, and reconnect to the land that our food comes from. 2015 is going to be a great year for the Teaching Farm. There is a lot going on and we needs lots of help. Come out to Tryon Road and get your hands dirty and help us as we aim to strengthen the Local Food movement!"
