[box type="note" size="medium" style="rounded" border="full"]What's for sale this week?[/box] If you’ve been searching for a sign that winter is in the rear-view mirror, here is it: IFFS Tryon Road Farm Stand will officially open for the 2015 season on Saturday, May 9th.
The Farm Stand will operate on an abbreviated schedule for May, and then from June-October will return to selling local food three days a week.
Located at Inter-Faith Food Shuttle’s Tryon Road Teaching Farm in Raleigh, the Farm Stand offers a wide variety of seasonal vegetables, pasture-raised eggs, cut flowers, potted plants, and more! All produce is grown chemical-free and eggs are from pasture-raised hens on the IFFS Teaching Farm.
In addition to the Farm Stand, IFFS’s Teaching Farm hosts incubator farmers as a strategy to build food security through skills training and increasing local access to healthy produce.
