We want to express our gratitude and appreciation to all of our supporters and faithful participants who helped make the 2017 Blossoms of Hope luncheon a great success.
This luncheon began 17 years ago in support of our Culinary Job Training Program. Our vision was to offer a venue for our student graduates to have hands on experience with the participating restaurant. Daniel Schurr and Kim Reynolds of Second Empire embraced this vision and made our dream a wonderful reality.
This year, we raised over $12,000 through seat sales, donations and raffle tickets.
Our special thanks again go to our host, The Second Empire, and to the expertise of Chef Daniel Schurr and his assistants who made this luncheon a fabulous event. Many thanks to Chef Terri Hutter and the students/graduates of our Culinary Job Training Program and to Cheney Brothers-Southern Foods for donating the groceries.
Sincerely,
Maxine Solomon and Ann Marco
