Have you heard? September is National Hunger Action Month and we have so many ways you can get involved all month long. 


Hopscotch Food Drive – September 6-9

Join Hopscotch in giving back to the Raleigh community by bringing a non-perishable food item to wristband city and receive $5 off festival apparel and a chance to win 2018 VIP passes.

Atlantic Tire Championships – September 9-17

Head to the Atlantic Tire Championship and donate food or entire their silent auction, all to support the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle!

Second Saturday – Saturday, September 9

Join us in participating in Second Saturday this September in support of our local food system, with the theme of figs & food access.

Mandolin BBQ Fundraiser – September 10

Get your tickets now! Sunday Sept 10th, Mandolin will be hosting it's 2nd Annual BBQ Fundraiser to benefit the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle. Tickets are only $14 and will go towards feeding those most in need within our community.

Hunger Action Day – Thursday, September 14

Join Food Banks from all across the country in celebrating Hunger Action Day on Thursday, September 14th!  

Hunger Action Month CMATS Training - Saturday, September 16

Join us for a training on Cooking Matters at the Store (CMATS) in honor of Hunger Action Month! Completion of this training will qualify you to lead or assist a future CMATS tour. 

A Dinner to Help End Childhood Hunger with Poole’s Diner & Friends – Sunday, September 17 - Sold out

Please join us for a very special guest chef dinner at Poole’s Diner. Joining Ashley are five talented chefs from around the country, each preparing a special course (with wine pairing). The dinner benefits both Share Our Strength and the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle.

The Triangle’s hottest restaurants – all in one place! Join us for an evening of food, shopping, and fun with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle!

Hunger Action Month Celebration at the Executive Mansion - Wednesday, September 20

Join Feeding America Food Banks from all around North Carolina in celebrating Hunger Action Month at the Executive Mansion with First Lady of North Carolina Kristin Cooper. High School students from central North Carolina will be participating in a packing event, before a speaking event. More details to come!

Fall Community Festival at Camden - Saturday, September 23

Join Camden Street Learning Garden and Revelation Missionary Baptist Church for their annual Fall Festival Block Party on Saturday, September 23rd from 10am-2pm!  Enjoy food from the Mobile Tastiness Machine, community fellowship, games for kids, face painting and more!

Volunteer Appreciation Lunch - Tuesday, September 26

Whole Hog BBQ Fundraiser – Saturday, September 30

During Raleigh’s Wide Open Bluegrass festival, the best whole hog barbecue chefs in North Carolina square off to become our state champion. Then all that delicious award-winning barbecue gets chopped up and sold during the festival with 100% of the proceeds benefitting the Food Shuttle! Come by on Saturday and grab a sandwich and support the Food Shuttle!
