Food Shuttle Response to Federal Shutdown

The Inter-Faith Food Shuttle is committed to serving the federal employees who serve this nation.

The Food Shuttle is providing emergency food boxes out of our Raleigh Warehouse, located at 1001 Blair Drive, Suite 120, Raleigh, NC 27603, to any federal worker in need. To receive one of the emergency food boxes, please contact our Outreach Manager, Elizabeth Rodgers, at Elizabeth@foodshuttle.org. Our outreach team will both assist with relief boxes, and point those affected towards other available services such as pantries, partner agencies and Mobile Markets. Our list and schedule of open Mobile Markets can be found here. As always, those in need can call 2-1-1 and find a free comprehensive help referral service through the United Way.

All federal employees that are looking to volunteer during the shutdown can contact our Volunteer Services Department at volunteers@foodshuttle.org or look at our website www.FoodShuttle.org to see available opportunities. We’d love to host you at the Food Shuttle!

If you’re looking to help, please consider a food drive donation. Our goal is to serve all those in need, as well as support our current programming, and every item donated is one less we have to purchase. That means more food in the hands of those who need it.

The Food Shuttle is committed to serving those affected by the shutdown and will continually re-evaluate our outreach as the situation progresses.
