All volunteers are welcome, and feel free to bring guests! For some of the events, we need a headcount, so please RSVP where appropriate.
Monday, April 8th: SURPRISE BREAKFAST
Volunteers at our main office in Raleigh will be treated to Breakfast in the VolunteerHub. Stop by to get your fuel before volunteering in the warehouse, on the routes, or at the front desk.
Tuesday, April 9th: LUNCH & LEARN
Have you only volunteered with one program and want to learn other ways to get involved at the Food Shuttle? Attend our April Lunch and Learn, where you will hear from program managers about the work we do in the community. Space is limited so RSVP to Abbey Riesett, Events Manager today!
Wednesday, April 10th: ICE CREAM SOCIAL IN DURHAM
We can’t forget our Durham volunteers who help us feed youth in our service area, teach community health education programs, and grow food in the garden. Stop by the Child Food Hub for an ice cream social from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. Let us know if you plan on attending, RSVP today.
Thursday, April 11th: LUNCH at the FOOD SHUTTLE FARM
We brought back one of our favorite volunteer appreciation events! Join us from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. at the Farm for lunch provided by Horizon Catering. There will be farm tours upon request and an opportunity to interact with the animals. This year, the farm team has even offered to give folks an authentic farm volunteer experience for those interested in arriving early. Sign up to attend!
Thursday, April 11th: LIVE @ LAKE RALEIGH
For those of you who can’t make the luncheon at the Farm. We plan on getting together as a group to attend LIVE @ LAKE RALEIGH Thursday evening from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Meet and mingle with your fellow volunteers, enjoy live music by the Fritz, and experience the beauty of Lake Raleigh. RSVP so we can reserve your lawn seat.
Saturday, April 13th: SURPRISE BREAKFAST
Grocery Bags for Seniors and warehouse volunteers will be treated to Breakfast in the VolunteerHub. Stop by for breakfast and say hi!
Monday, April 15th: MOVIE RAFFLE
On Monday, April 15th we will be raffling off 20 movie tickets. All volunteers over the past year will be entered as well as anyone who attends appreciation events. Volunteers will be entered multiple times based on the number of volunteer hours throughout the year.
