Companies and organizations across the Triangle are invited to compete in a spirited food and fund drive competition benefiting Inter-Faith Food Shuttle. It’s called Dunk Hunger and it’s open for registration now. The Dunk Hunger 2020 competition will run March 16-27. The deadline for companies to register is March 11.
In this March Madness-themed competition, companies and organizations can choose from a variety of activities—from bake sales to trivia contests (or anything in between)—and every dollar raised and food item collected will get them closer to winning a prize, and ultimate bragging rights. Every dollar raised is worth five points and every food item counts for 1 point. The MVP Award will be given to the participating organization with the highest total points and the Per Capita Award will go to the company or organization that accrues the most points per person. Both those awards come with commemorative plaques and catered breakfasts from Horizon Catering, the social enterprise caterer of Inter-Faith Food Shuttle. All participating organizations that achieve 100% participation will receive Participation Award certificates.
Dunk Hunger registration is online. Registrants have access to the Dunk Hunger Participant Toolkit which includes a list of Creative Event Ideas and an Online Donation Page that can be personalized for your company or organization, as well as a Results Reporting Packet and a Food Drive Guide.
