Food Shuttle Launches "You are the Heart of Our Community" Campaign

As 2020 draws to a close, families are facing the reality that this holiday season will look drastically different from those of years past. The impact of the coronavirus pandemic continues to rock communities, with case numbers spiking and jobless numbers still high. Inter-Faith Food Shuttle recognizes the increasing need among the families and individuals we serve, and pledges to meet that need with the help of our generous supporters. The Food Shuttle’s year-end campaign, You are the Heart of Our Community honors the commitment of our donors to serve neighbors facing food insecurity, especially during the holiday season.

“Together we can be a place where communities take care of communities, one person at a time,” intones L. Ron Pringle, President and CEO of Inter-Faith Food Shuttle.

One neighbor helped by the Food Shuttle is Margie Blake. Margie is raising her three young great granddaughters and often finds it difficult to make ends meet. She relies on Inter-Faith Food Shuttle to keep food on the table for herself and her small family. The Food Shuttle’s legion of generous supporters ensures that families like Margie’s don’t go hungry during this time of crisis.

Through continued funding of programs such as Mobile Markets, Grocery Bags for Seniors, and Pantry Supplement Boxes, our neighbors in the seven counties served by the Food Shuttle receive a reliable supply of nutritious, healthy food that doesn’t stop just because times are tough. “On behalf of our staff, board, and those we serve, thank you,” says L. Ron Pringle. “With your support, the Food Shuttle team stands ready to respond to the need in our community and the families we serve.”

As a part of the You are the Heart of Our Community campaign, Inter-Faith Food Shuttle is excited to be offer the opportunity to match all gifts made through the end of the year.
