With each new year, comes new possibilities. This year, Inter-Faith Food Shuttle is expanding new possibilities for cultivating a hunger free community with the launch of the monthly sustainer donor community, the Cultivators. Through ongoing, monthly support, Cultivators empower the Food Shuttle to ensure all residents will have access to the healthy food, knowledge, skills, and opportunities they need to thrive all year long.
As more than 215,000 North Carolina adults and children remain at risk of experiencing hunger as we move into 2022, the need for relief grows stronger than ever. In November 2021 alone, Inter-Faith Food Shuttle served 77,210 neighbors through programs like Mobile Markets, Grocery Bags for Seniors, BackPack Buddies, and Community Health Education. Food, fuel, and supply costs continue to rise, and the Food Shuttle must meet those costs through additional community support. The steady stream of support provided by the Cultivators’ monthly donations allows the Food Shuttle to respond to the immediate needs of the neighbors we serve and pursue long-term solutions to hunger in our community.
As part of the introduction of the Cultivators, the Food Shuttle is offering a gift to new members. A durable, reusable tote bag, featuring the new Cultivators logo on one side, and the Food Shuttle logo on the other, will be sent to those who join at a minimum of $25 per month or more.
