Harvest Workshop

  • Inter-Faith Food Shuttle 1001 Blair Drive Raleigh, NC, 27603 (map)

Geer Street Learning Garden is hosting a four-part Introduction to Spring and Summer Vegetable Gardening workshop series. In our first two workshops, participants learned how to design and plant their Spring garden. In this workshop, "Harvesting Your Spring Garden," you'll learn the next steps - how to harvest your garden bounty!

We'll discuss how to properly harvest your Spring crops for a healthy and productive season. The workshop will include an in-garden tour of what’s in season, information about determining crop maturity, demonstration of tools and how to harvest common Spring crops, and a review of how to properly store crops in a food-safe way. While the workshops build on each other, you do not need to have attended any previous classes to register for others.
