The Leon Levine Foundation: Working Together Against Hunger

by | Mar 5, 2026 | Donor Recognition

We are deeply grateful to The Leon Levine Foundation for its generous and continued support of Inter-Faith Food Shuttle. Their investment is more than a grant. It is a commitment to ensuring our neighbors across the Carolinas have consistent access to food, opportunity, and care.

As The Leon Levine Foundation has broadened its impact across North and South Carolina, they have empowered the Food Shuttle to continue advancing our mission across our seven-county service area, delivering food, opportunity, and support to neighbors facing hunger. From Mobile Markets and School Pantries to BackPack Buddies, Community Health Education, and Agriculture Education, our work reaches thousands of children, families, and seniors each year.

What makes this partnership especially meaningful is that The Leon Levine Foundation provides unrestricted funding. These flexible funds fuel our entire mission. They allow us to respond quickly when food costs rise, when demand increases, or when a new opportunity emerges to better serve our community. Unrestricted support strengthens our infrastructure, supports our staff, keeps our trucks on the road, and ensures fresh, nutritious food reaches the neighbors who need it most.

At a time when community needs continue to change, this kind of investment makes a meaningful difference. It gives us the flexibility to respond thoughtfully, strengthen our programs, and build long term solutions that create stability and dignity for the people we serve.

We are honored to partner with The Leon Levine Foundation in this shared commitment to stronger, healthier communities. Their leadership and generosity help ensure that neighbors across our service area have consistent access to food and the support they need to thrive.
