It has been more than one year since the COVID-19 pandemic reached the Triangle region. One year of health concerns, financial instability, food insecurity, and so much more. . But it’s also been a year of community resilience, with so many individuals and businesses pooling their resources to provide the critical support that has helped Triangle residents pull through. To celebrate that strength, Inter-Faith Food Shuttle is excited to be in partnership with Band Together and United Way of the Greater Triangle to raise $2M+ to support the most impactful local nonprofits on the frontlines of the pandemic—including the Food Shuttle.
Comeback Fest is scheduled for Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Red Hat Amphitheater. Headlining this major music event will be bands Khruangbin, Lee Fields and the Expressions, and Big Daddy Kane. Tickets are available online. The goal is to raise over $2M for COVID relief and recovery efforts for 100 local nonprofit organizations in the Triangle. This is the largest fundraising goal in the history of Band Together and will benefit more nonprofits than ever before. The generosity and investment of the business community is essential to the success of this endeavor. Sponsorship opportunities are available. Email hannah@bandtogethernc.org for sponsorship information.
“We’re so proud at United Way of the Greater Triangle to support Inter-Faith Food Shuttle. It’s such a great partnership,” said Eric Guckian, United Way of the Greater Triangle’s President and CEO at a recent United Way Day of Action at the Food Shuttle Farm. “What we can do with Band Together is get even more funds coming your way so we can raise even more food for folks. We’re excited to expand our impact. It’s going to be a great show. We’re looking forward to celebrating when we raise that $2 million.”
