John Deere aspires to be a catalyst for positive global change. They focus their energy, intellect, and resources on solving world hunger, empowering others through education, and developing their home communities. Thanks to shared values, John Deere recently donated $46,340 to Inter-Faith Food Shuttle to support neighbors in need.
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact our communities and contribute to a growing number of families facing food insecurity, John Deere's support will assist the Food Shuttle in efforts to navigate the path to recovery.
Thanks to generous community partners like John Deere, the Food Shuttle will continue to provide nutritious shelf-stable food items and fresh produce to children, families, and seniors across central North Carolina, with particular attention to disproportionately underserved communities. This will be done through the Food Shuttle's variety of food access initiatives, such as Mobile Markets, Food Pantries, Grocery Bags for Seniors, and BackPack Buddies. The John Deere donation also helps support the Food Shuttle Farm and nutrition education initiatives that continue to grow in popularity and impact.
Help from community partners is more important now than ever, and Inter-Faith Food Shuttle is extremely grateful for John Deere's commitment to aid in efforts to grow a hunger free community.
