We’re thrilled to announce the graduation of our latest class from the Culinary Apprenticeship Program (CAP), a collaboration between Inter-Faith Food Shuttle and Goodwill Industries of Eastern North Carolina. This innovative program is a cornerstone of our approach to fighting hunger by addressing its root causes.
CAP combines professional development, mentorship, and hands-on training to empower unemployed and under-employed neighbors to build fulfilling careers in our local culinary industry. We believe that combating hunger starts with providing people the tools and opportunities they need to thrive.
The graduates of this class have shown incredible dedication and hard work throughout their training. The Food Shuttle is immensely proud of their achievements and the resilience they’ve displayed. Each of them has overcome challenges and embraced the learning process, demonstrating their commitment to personal and professional growth.
Our six graduates from this class are:
Chaun McNeely
Emmanuel Stephens (not pictured)
Fabian Martin
Joseph Norman
Juanita Daniels
Carol Veasy
Their hard work and determination have brought them to this milestone, and we can’t wait to see the impact they will make in the culinary world and beyond. Cheers to their future success! Together, we can continue to build a stronger, more equitable community for all.
