Our Spring Match challenge, made possible by generous funders, including SOLV Energy and the Mead Family Foundation, exceeded the $105,000 goal, raising an additional $70,000 to erase hunger!
Love, Tito’s has a heart for community gardens and increasing access to fresh, healthy foods. Their philanthropic Love, Tito’s Block to Block program, reconnects neighborhoods and creates community gardens and farms throughout the United States. Our hearts are in full bloom knowing that our Camden Street Garden will be the next beneficiary of Block to Block, allowing neighbors with mobility challenges to access our many activities more easily.
DURHAM - Hundreds more children will have healthy food to eat with the opening of the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle’s Child Food Hub in Durham. The 7,000-square-foot warehouse on South Miami Boulevard near Research Triangle Park will serve as the hub for child-hunger programs, including BackPack Buddies and PORCH-Durham, as well as food pantries at schools in seven Triangle-area counties.
WRAL - Local food banks are concerned about a proposal by the Trump administration that would replace food stamps with food boxes in an effort to redesign the current government program that helps low-income families buy food.

An example of a different agricultural approach is Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, which serves seven North Carolina counties, recovering and gleaning about 6 million pounds of food a year that would otherwise have gone to waste.
