#GivingTuesday Raises $45,900 in One-Day Total Fundraising
We asked and you answered! Tuesday, November 29 was #GivingTuesday, and Inter-Faith Food Shuttle’s supporters marked the occasion by digging deep and giving generously in support of efforts to feed, teach, grow, and cultivate an end to hunger in our community. The total raised in one-day giving amounted to $45,958.
Carolina Hurricanes Foundation Scores Support for Rural School Children
The Carolina Hurricanes Foundation is a longtime supporter of Inter-Faith Food Shuttle and our programs designed to relieve hunger in our community. 2022 marks the third of a three-year, $150,000 funding grant from the Foundation designed to expand child hunger programs in rural counties in the Food Shuttle’s service area.
Holiday Match Opportunity Provides Hope in the Face of Hunger
Inter-Faith Food Shuttle stands ready to provide hope to our neighbors by feeding, teaching, growing, and cultivating innovative approaches to end hunger in our community. This holiday season, that steadfast commitment is magnified by a $100,000 match opportunity, funded by 4 Others Foundation and Oak Foundation. December 1 through December 31, during our You are the Heart of Our Community campaign, all gifts to the Food Shuttle will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to $100,000.
#GivingTuesday: A Global Day of Generosity
The Tuesday after Thanksgiving is designated as #GivingTuesday, a global day of generosity. Each year, Inter-Faith Food Shuttle sets a fundraising goal for #GivingTuesday and rallies our supporters to help meet that goal in efforts to continue to feed, teach, grow, and cultivate a hunger free community for our neighbors in need.
Community Health Education Expands Programming to Reach Diverse Groups
Word has gotten out: Inter-Faith Food Shuttle’s Community Health Education (CHE) program has tailor- made life skills curricula for the diverse populations that make up our community of neighbors. Our inclusive programming can be adapted to fit the special requirements of individual audiences, meeting community members at their point of need and ensuring that the lessons being taught resonate and have a true impact with those in attendance.

On Saturday, December 10, visitors to Nights of Lights will have the opportunity to help create a hunger free community during Food Lion Feeds Night in support of Inter-Faith Food Shuttle.
